The First Baptist Church of Lehigh Acres is located in the heart of Lehigh Acres at the corner of Leeland Heights Boulevard and Highland Avenue. This active community church is proposing the expansion of their existing Place of Worship to a more inclusive Religious Facility. A new five hundred and sixty-one (561) seat sanctuary is proposed
along with a new two-story Family Life Center. The new facilities will be able to provide many additional services for it’s parishioners as well as the community. A Special Exception Application to allow Religious Facilities on a residentially zoned property is required through Lee County Development Services.
TDM Consulting’s Planning Division will secure approval of the Special Exception request in 2008. The Development Order application will be filed concurrently, with approval expected in early 2009. Additional permitting through Florida Governmental Utility Authority, Lee County Department of Health, and Florida Department of Environmental
Protection is required for this project.
