American Legion Post 336

A ground breaking ceremony was held on August 3, 2010 for the construction of the new American Legion Post 336 building. The new building is located on the 3.68 acre site on Bayshore Road where the original American Legion Post 336 building is located. The new building is 5,000 square feet, over twice the size of the current building, and includes a large banquet/meeting room.

In addition to the new building, the project includes a large parking area, the extension of water and sewer lines to the property, and improvements to the current roadway connection at Whaley's Drive.

Permitting through Lee County Development Services, Lee County Utilities, North Fort Myers Utilities, Department of Health, Department of Environmental Protection, and Florida Department of Transportation was required for this project.
